Below is a list of some of the outreach activities that members of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) participate in:

Austin CROP Hunger Walk

CCC members have participate in the CROP Hunger Walk which is sponsored by Church World Service. Founded in 1946, Church World Service is a cooperative ministry of 37 Christian communions working together to eradicate hunger and poverty and promote peace and justice among the world's most vulnerable people. The Austin CROP Hunger Walk is sponsored locally by Interfaith Action of Central Texas.

Austin State Hospital

There is a clothing bin for donations of gently used clothing for Austin State Hospital in the foyer of the church. The clothing bin was an Eagle Project by Ryan Nolen and is monitored by Stacy Alexander.

Bethany Faith Food Pantry

A local food bank coordinated by Bethany Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in East Austin. Every Thanksgiving, and occasionally throughout the year, CCC members donate food to the pantry and assist in dispersing food to those in need.

Caritas of Austin

Caritas provides a service continuum for those experiencing poverty that begins with a safety net and links them to resources to achieve self-sufficiency. CCC members volunteer in the kitchen helping to serve the daily lunch during the summer months.

Casa Marianella

This organization is committed to assisting immigrants with housing, food, English classes, and provides case managers to assist with medical and employment needs. CCC members regularly visit and bring meals to the residents and encourage them to attend CCC services.

Disciples Outreach to the Mentally Ill

DOMI is a ministry to the mentally ill of the Bluebonnet Area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). CCC members have assisted with upkeep of Harbor House, the residence and property located in Austin and periodically brings meals to those residents.

Downtown Cluster of Congregations and Social Service Agencies:

CCC is a proud member of the Austin Downtown Cluster of Congregations and Social Agencies who have joined together to improve the quality of life among the poor, the addicted, the mentally ill, the sick, the abused, and the homeless who are our downtown neighbors.

Mercy Heart Project (up and coming Outreach opportunity)

This organization assists family members and loved ones of the incarcerated by conducting weekly meetings at a local church to help restore hope and relational and spiritual stability to the families. We hope to have the Austin chapter established at CCC by early 2015.

Posada Esperanza

Posada Esperanza’s purpose is to continue the mission of Casa Marianella to provide for the basic needs of homeless immigrants in Austin in a dignified setting that builds community. Posada Esperanza aims to create a home-like environment with programs that support the success of the family and the joy and learning of the children. CCC members donate and bring gifts to the women and children of Posada Esperanza every Christmas.

Soul Repair Project (up and coming Outreach opportunity)

This project is sponsored by Brite Divinity School and is dedicated to the research and public education about recovery from moral injury. This project involves the training of CCC members through the Brite Divinity program so that we can better assist and minister to our veterans of service. We hope to begin in the Fall of 2015.

Week of Compassion

Week of Compassion is the relief, refugee, and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. We make special offerings specially dedicated to this fund.
