Have you ever experienced something that keeps making itself known in unexpected places and ways?
Brad and I returned from our trip to Palestine a bit more than a month ago, but almost daily, in some fashion, I am reminded of a person, place, or event we experienced while in the Holy Land. We will be hosting a luncheon and presentation following worship on Sunday, March 19th and we hope that each of you will join us for a taste of Palestinian food (or as close as we can get anyways) along with a brief presentation of some expected, unexpected, and humorous things that happened. We will even have a special token for each of you to take home!
As some of you may know, I serve as the student representative to the Board of Trustees at Phillips Theological Seminary and am in Tulsa, Oklahoma as I write this article and assemble this newsletter. On Monday evening along with our professor Reverend Dr. Kathy McCallie, myself, and two of my fellow pilgrims to Palestine and Israel, we shared a brief presentation to the Board of Trustees. I shared the article that I wrote for the CCC newsletter last month and my fellow classmates shared their experiences and memories as well. Our professor had assembled a slide show packed full of pictures and messages from several other classmates. It was a beautiful time of reflection for not only me but for so many in the room who have had the opportunity to also experience the Holy Land. Come.
Join us on Sunday, March 19th to hear, see, taste, touch, and smell a bit of Palestine and Israel for yourselves!
Shalom,
Pastor Heidi
