Calling all musicians!
Hello CCC, did you know there are opportunities for joining in music at CCC in a variety of
ways? You probably most often see our handbells at the start of the service, and the opportunity
to sing with the choir on the hymns and/or special music…but if there is an instrument you play
that you’d like to share with us some day in the future we can always find a way to make it work!
For example, there are various arrangements of songs we sing that have flute parts written for
them. We also have songs with certain drum beats on a bongo drum or a djembe that add a lot
to the vocal aspect of the music. There are some songs that have string parts as well if someone
plays the violin or a cello. Please feel free to approach me if you play an instrument and would
like to join us on a Sunday. We can plan for a Sunday a few months out as well if you’d like extra
time to practice that specific song.
It’s also fun to sing along with a guitar if there are any guitarists in the congregation that would
like to join here and there. Taking part in music at CCC is a fun way and low commitment way to
enhance your worship experience, and the experience of others!
We also have a very talented saxophone player in the congregation that has offered to provide
music for us again which I’m greatly looking forward to!
And don’t forget, we are always open to having additional handbell players! If you’d like to see
what it’s like to ring handbells feel free to approach me on Sunday morning and there’s always
an additional bell we can add in!
Thank you all, and hope to hear from you!
