Hello CCC!
I’d like to wish everyone a very happy New Year! It literally feels like 2021 just arrived a
month ago, and here we are heading into 2022.
I have some exciting news to share with everyone when it comes to music at CCC. We
have set a plan to include a wide variety of musicians in our worship. Marco the very
talented guitarist will be playing for us every 2nd Sunday of the month. To celebrate the final
Sunday of each month we will have a guest organist, many times it will be Luciano who
played for us Christmas Eve, but when he is unavailable we will welcome additional
organists to our church to experience our beautiful instrument and share their talents with
us.
We will continue to have Angelic Strings every other Sunday (1st and 3rd) as they bring
such a warm and welcoming sound to our service with Michael on the harp and Belinda on
the viola. They have said CCC is one of their very favorite places to play here in the Austin
area and I’m thrilled that they will continue to join us throughout 2022.
For months with extra Sundays, or if one of our musicians is not available for a previously
planned Sunday I will play piano for that service. We will also continue to have our singers
from the choir for solos or duets on Sundays here and there. I’m still not sure how things will
shape up with Covid and singing in larger groups, but for now it’s always nice to have one of
our singers join to sing the hymns on our behalf and share their voice with us.
I hope you are all feeling excited for 2022! Thank you all for your support of the music
program in 2021 and I look forward to continuing our worship into the coming year.
